Adam's Walk: Wellington Place, City Place, Waterfront, Airport

Hi Everyone: a great event being put on by Adam Vaughan this weekend.

Adam's Walk: Wellington Place, City Place, Waterfront, Airport

Date:
Saturday, May 15, 2010
Time:
11:30am - 1:30pm
Location:
Victoria Memorial Square Park

Description

Dear Residents,

I would like to invite you on a walking tour this Saturday morning, from Victoria Memorial Square Park to the waterfront. This walk is the first of a series of neighbourhood walking tours that I will be hosting throughout Ward 20 this spring and summer.

Date: Saturday, May 15, 2010
Time: 11:30am – 1:30pm
Starting point: Victoria Memorial Square Park (one block south of King, one block east of Bathurst), north-east corner

This walk will explore the neighbourhoods of Wellington Place, CityPlace and Bathurst Quay to the south. It will look at how new mixes with old, how business communities mix with residential communities, and the importance of ensuring that our neighbourhoods are sustainable, liveable, and built for a variety of ages and income levels. We will talk about providing adequate family housing, building beautiful parks, supporting the local economy, traffic calming, and honouring our history.

I hope you will consider joining me and other residents to explore Trinity-Spadina on foot, to learn together and join our work towards the goal of ensuring our growing neighbourhoods are vibrant and healthy.

If you plan to join us, please let my office know by calling 416 392-4044 or by emailing councillor_vaughan@toronto.ca.

Yours truly,

Adam Vaughan
